Thread Illustration and Self-Determining Canvasses

The exhibition comprises two distinctly different pathways of Emily’s creativity.

Self- determining canvasses is a collection of modified oil on canvas, often suggestive of, and interpreted as, seascapes.

Thread illustration is an exploration of drawing by free motion stitching, over-working into printed fabrics. Lino printing has been used to both add and subtract hue from the fabric using geometric pattern to contrast with the organic nature of the thread illustration.
